Why Sponsor a dog?

Sponsoring helps save the lives of many dogs as it provides much needed funds for the rehoming journey. SGS receives no funding from the racing industry so we rely solely on donations for all day to day care, vet bills, neutering, transport and other costs which arise getting a hound into a home.

Where are the Dogs?

The dogs are in foster homes all over Scotland! Before moving into foster, all of our dogs start their SGS journey in kennels and this is where we begin the process of finding them homes.

How much does it cost?
Sponsoring a dog costs just £5 a month, or if you prefer you can pay £60 annually - which is ideal when sponsoring a kennel as a gift for someone else. When you submit your application form you'll be redirected to payment options. Once we receive this we'll send out your welcome pack.

We also offer a Corporate Sponsorship for £10 a month or £150 for a year. If your company wishes to sponsor more than one kennel please get in touch.

Can I sponsor in someone else's name?

Yes that's no problem. You can let us know who you are sponsoring a dog for on the application form and we'll take it from there.

As a sponsor you will get:

Updates: We'll email you a quarterly newsletter with updates and information on the current sponsor dogs. We can post you the updates if you prefer.

​

Named Sponsor: You, or your nominated person, will be named on the website and the forum to show that you are a sponsor (you can opt out of this if you prefer).

​

Forum Access: You will gain special access to a section on the SGS forum where you will find updates about the dog you are currently sponsoring.

​

You will also receive a welcome pack, which you can opt out of if you prefer -  just tick the box on the application form.
