Fonzie came to SGS from Southern Ireland where he was picked up a stray on the streets of Dublin. Luckily SGS had arranged for a few dogs to come over to us from this pound in Ireland and there was a space for Fonzie so over he came. Once Fonzie had arrived and been placed in a foster home it became clear that he was suffering from Fear Aggression. This was diagnosed by a qualified behaviourist who also gave his fosterers a behavioural plan to try and help Fonzie work through his issues with other dogs. It has taken 6 years for Fonzie to be able to remain relaxed when around other dogs but he can still have his moments if another dog comes running up to him. The best part of helping Fonzie through his issues was the day when he played with another dog for the 1st time.
