Sasha's story is sadly one all too familiar to SGS. She broke her leg at the race track, a horrendous injury, her hock being broken in 2 places. She was signed over to the vet as her owner knew she would never race again. The vet contacted SGS who immediately agreed to take her in and pay for all the necessary medical treatment to fix her leg. She was only a baby at two years old and was so shy and timid she would sit in the corner facing the wall each time someone new approached her. She slowly recovered from her injury and through the love and patience of her foster family she soon became more confident. Sasha will always have problems with her leg. But she is a happy, waggy girl with a real lust for life these days!
