Flower - Reserved

Date of Birth:

01/03/2022

Breed:

Greyhound

Sex:

Female

Flower is a young, stunningly beautiful big girl, cheeky and full of energy and with a keen prey drive. She comes from Ireland, where she was used for coursing. She is an absolute foodie and gets along with people and medium or large size dogs. Flower has a bit of an unruly coat, but this does not seem to bother her. She will make a wonderful pet when the right family comes along! She is a little firecracker, constantly in motion, bouncing, prancing and playing with her toys! you won't get bored in her company :)

Noelle

Date of Birth:

16/08/2019

Breed:

Greyhound

Sex:

Female

Noelle is a 6 years old beautiful lady. She is absolutely adorable, lovely with people and very sweet and affectionate - and it is hard to describe just how affectionate... suffices to say she leaves a lasting impression. Loves to play with her toys and you are guaranteed she will never say no to a tasty treat :) Noelle has been so far overlooked and waited in kennel for too long - and we really don't know why. You will probably get tons of kisses within a few meenutes of meeting her :) She will need to be rehomed as an only dog as she really thrives in human company. All this girl needs is a chance, we are sure that she will prove herself to be an amzing addition to a lucky family!

Norman - soon in foster

Date of Birth:

11/2020

Breed:

Greyhound

Sex:

Male

Norman is a bouncy lad, good with people and very good natured. He comes from a disqualified trainer, so he has not had the best start. Despite that, he is such a joyful lad and we have no doubt he will turn into a gentleman if someone takes a little time to show him the ropes and some kindness. And in fact he has already made so much progress! For example, when he came into our care his leash manners were...well in need of being polished :) But in a short amount of time he has improved so much. He still jumps up to say hello, as he so likes the company of people! He is lovely to be around and a foodie - I mean...a real foodie :) Likes walking and so he will need a slightly more active family. For example he would work very well fore someone who needs company during their daily walking routine :) He also gets on with all his kennel friends. Such a great lad, who has so much to give!

Mannie - soon in foster

Date of Birth:

18/12/2020

Breed:

Greyhound

Sex:

Male

Mannie is an ex racing greyhound, who raced 98 times, and we’re pleased he’s now in the safe hands of Michelle at the kennels, all ready for his rehoming journey! Mannie is a big brindle lad, tall and slim. So far he has been a lovely addition to the kennel pack. He is a bit shy at first but warms up to people quickly, once he has given you a good sniff :) He is a very polite pooch, who takes treats very gently and will make an amazing companion once he gets to know you. Not so gentle with cats though, and we would not bet on his reaction to small furry dogs either :) He loves food, will hardly ever say no to a tasty treat.

Jordan

Date of Birth:

01/05/2021

Breed:

Greyhound

Sex:

Male

Jordan is a beautiful large hound who recently arrived at the kennels. He has now adjusted to his surroundings and is starting to show his lovely personality. Jordan is just a gigantic cuddle bug. He loves cuddles and human company more than toys (which he likes) and probably also a tiny bit more than food (which means something, as he is a foodie!). He thrives on human attention, so he would love to be chosen by a family who will help him build up his time alone. Walks well on lead and takes treats gently. Most importantly, he is all ready to be fostered or adopted by someone who will see how adorable he is! Jordan might also like to live with another dog, but this is not necessarily needed. He is a tall, lean lad, who can jump up very high, so he will need a secure garden.

Daphne

Date of Birth:

11/09/2023

Breed:

Greyhound

Sex:

Female

Daphne is a beautiful 2 years old greyhound, who has recently joined our kennels, so we are still learning about her. She is an ex-racing greyhound, but thankfully she only run 13 times as she was not as fast as others. We however suspect that she would be very fast at finding her spot on a couch :) Her kennel mum said that Daphne has been such a joy to spend time with, very well behaved and clean in kennels. She is adorable with people, very affectionate and cuddly - you need to meet her to understand how cuddly :). Gets along with all the other kennel dogs.

Sam

Date of Birth:

11/10/2023

Breed:

Greyhound

Sex:

Male

Oscar, Sam and Banksy arrived together at the kennel at the beginning of February. We are only starting to understand their personality so...here is what we know about Sam. Sam is a quiet, lovely young boy. When he arrived he was quite shy, did not eat much for the first couple of days and would not take treats from hands. However he is now starting to come out of his shell and gaining confidence, he is eating his meals and he is finally taking treats from people's hands. He was deemed to be "not good for running" and so he only run 8 races before getting to the safety of our kennels. Sam seems to be just looking for a simple and quiet life, for a place where he can trod along - which seems to be more of his style :) - and possibly enjoy the company of a canine companion. So far, we think that he might like to like in a quiet location

Banksy

Date of Birth:

22/10/2022

Breed:

Greyhound

Sex:

Male

Banksy is a lovely blue lad, very good natured and affectionate. He loves cuddles and he will come up to you and put his head on your belly to get a chin rub. He is playful, likes his food and eats like a gentleman, without gobbling it down. He can be rehomed/fostered with or without other dogs.

Teddy

Date of Birth:

10/12/2022

Breed:

Greyhound

Sex:

Male

Teddy, Nando and Sally arrived at the kennels only a couple of days after Oscar, Sam and Banksy, so we are still trying to figure them out and what we are writing now about them is just a preliminary assessment. Teddy has run 11 races before retiring. When he arrived to the SGS kennels he was not in the best conditions, certainly in need of a good amount of TLC. He is however a strong lad and, despite everything, a very happy chap. So we are sure that, now that he is in Michelle's hands, he will bounce back soon and we will make sure to keep you posted.

Nando

Date of Birth:

16/11/2021

Breed:

Greyhound

Sex:

Male

Nando is a lovely big lad, very affectionate. He ran 37 races before retiring. He loves his food and is good with other dogs. He has a broken hock and so he is currently being assessed and Michelle is taking good care of him while helping him to recover. We think that he will need a place with no access stairs and ideally a garden.

Sally

Date of Birth:

10/04/2022

Breed:

Greyhound

Sex:

Female

Sally is a small girl, very happy, friendly and affectionate. She run 12 races before retiring and, if you ask her, retirement really suits her. She is very good natured and so far she seems to not be bothered by other dogs. She is a little excited to be in a new place and her leash manners are in need of some polishing but we think that she will probably stop all the excited jumping once she settles a little more.
